This is my story:
I originally came from Ontario where I spent 30 years Interior Designing and Renovating homes before I moved to British Columbia to be close to my growing family.
On July 7, 2016, I had a stroke and I have been working on my recovery ever since.
In 2020, I started a company called Accessible Places to reach out and help seniors and people with disabilities to have a more inclusive and accessible way of life.
My goal is to provide my clients with a safer and more enjoyable home to live in for a long time. This is known as to Age in Place.
To provide this kind of service, I have received my certification from the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification TM (RHFAC), the Athabasca University, the CSA Group and Age Safe Canada to assess and rate homes for accessibility and safety.
This certification has granted me the titles of RHFAC Professional and Senior Home Safety Specialist as I help my clients to Age in Place in their homes.
As we develop this new venture, we are interested in these two things; that is to provide our clients with skilled workmanship and excellent service. We stand behind all that we do, and we will fulfill all your expectations. This is more than a goal for us, it is our commitment to you.
To do this, we can set up an appointment, come to your home, perform an assessment, prepare a detailed report, give you a rating and recommend the proper actions to make your home safe and secure.
