Affirming Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine is a queer-owned mental health care service that provides gender-affirming, weight-neutral, inclusive health care.
I’m a registered Acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner with a disordered eating and body image training background. Creating a brave, compassionate space with the belief that you are the expert of your body is essential to my approach. I practice in both Comox and Campbell River, B.C.
Modalities and areas of focus:
-Japanese acupuncture (a gentle needling technique)
-Chinese medicinal herbs
-Cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, tui na (Chinese massage)
-Trauma-informed care supporting mental health, eating disorders, digestive function, sleep, and hormone balancing.
There’s a free 15-minute session to walk you through the process, answer questions, and discuss accessibility and sensory needs. The treatment tables are wide, but only one clinic currently has an electric adjustable table.
