BC Technology for Learning Society (BC Tech) collects donated computers, laptops, and other tech; hires and trains youth to refurbish the computers; and distributes the computers and laptops to BC schools, libraries, not-for-profit organizations, and Indigenous communities. BC Tech is a registered charity licensed to operate the Computers for Schools Plus program in BC.

BC Tech follows strict data-wiping protocols and procedures with donated computers and laptops to ensure the data security of our donors. Hard drives are pulled from their computer and wiped using a 3-layer overwrite that follows industry-standard methods. We are the only BC-based refurbisher currently certified by the Electronic Products Recycling Association.
