Ben and Anna Van Eck’s passion and dedication for baking make what they do so special.
When Ben and Anna Van Eck agreed to bake for a local school’s fundraiser in 2012, they could have
never predicted where it would take them. Baking was in the Van Eck’s blood and something they loved
doing together. It was a mad dash to find the quality ingredients, packaging, and a sleepless night of
baking. Although it was nowhere near easy, the Van Eck’s packed their minivan full of fresh artisan
loaves of bread and European inspired pastries with no idea of whether it would sell. To their surprise,
after an hour at the fundraiser, they had completely sold out! While excited and both overwhelming,
Ben and Anna knew they might be in business, so they got to work!
It all may have started in the Van Eck’s kitchen, but unfortunately, it couldn’t stay that way if they were
looking to grow. In need of a separate building and without a huge budget, they came up with the idea
to convert their garage into a fully functional bakery with a little paint, equipment, and a visit from the
health department. BeNanna Bakery was finally born!
Since BeNanna Bakery’s humble beginning in 2012, a lot has changed, but the quality of what they are
baking hasn’t! They still offer a vast selection of goodies sure to have you coming back for seconds. From
chocolate sourdough to banana eclairs, they’re sure to have something for you. They pride themselves
on making everything from scratch, using the best, locally sourced ingredients. Now, come in and try
