Grab-A-Java Coffee Roasters 1994

Small Batch Specialty Coffees Roasters focusing on roasting fresh coffees weekly since 1998.

Opened originally in 1994 as a Coffeeehouse and Cafe with in-house made Gelato and Coffee Roasting starting in 1998. We operated at Hemlock Ski Resort several years and 3 yrs on-board West Coast Express. Post-covid we remain a Part-time Coffee Roaster operating out of a restored Charator house in downtown Mission City, B.C.

Coffee stales rapidly once roasted, so our focus has always been on sourcing great coffees and roasting fresh weekly. We date stamp each bag so you know when it was roasted. Since 2005 beginning, we were the 1st roaster in Canada to Support and buy Cafe Femenino Certified Coffees from Peru. Cafe Femenino has grown to many countries and in 2023, over 75% of the green coffees we bought & roasted at Grab-A-Java Roasters were certified Cafe Femenino. Look up documentary Strong Coffee to see the beginning.

As a business, we are proud to support Fair Trade, Organic and Cafe Femenino coffee farmers. We can roast great coffee only if farmers grow great coffee beans.

We respectfully acknowledge our place of work is within the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the Xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ilwətaʔɬ/sel̓ílwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and that we serve the Peoples of the many Nations throughout British Columbia.
