I paint Galiano Island trees to enchant you with their beauty and share their earthy poetry. Learning my lessons from the trees I study and paint, I seek to feel the rhythms in their branches, and echo that melody in my approach to their environment, sky, grasses, sandstone and shorelines.
Science tells us, backing up common sense, that we are imprinted by the art we have on our walls. When we invest in this gentle influence, nudging our hearts and minds each time we enter a room, it will bring us back to beautiful experiences enjoyed outdoors on Galiano Island.
Fellow artists and trees have been my teachers, taking me to the edge of my abilities in oil, acrylic and watercolour for over 40 years.
