JoJo’s Emporium is a family merchant enterprise that specializes in hats and Canadian handcrafted and Imported Indigenous Fair Trade clothing and accessories. We focus on providing quality goods for people with discerning tastes.
Established in 2000 by JoAnn Adams, who has over 30 yrs. cumulative experience in clothing, textiles and jewellery design, we pride ourselves in providing unique and beautiful products. My relations are from the cree nation living in Saskatchean.
We like to think that JoJo’s Emporium is an entity, a synthesis of our lifetimes’ travel, experiences and tastes, our customers’ desire to collect Canadian handcrafted and Imported Indigenous handcrafted Fair Trade objects of desire. JoJo’s Emporium believes we are continuing in the foorsteps of an ancient traditional community.
JoJo’s Emporium’s specialty are hats. These are sourced from professional hat manufacturers who have long-standing records of ethical business practices. Our unique hat collection consists of these major brands: Goorin Bros.-USA, Magill-CDN, Kangol-USA, Delux-CDN, Brixton-UK, Peter Grimm-USA, Vandica-CDN, Smithbuilt-CDN. New for 2019, Panama and Wool hats made exclusively for JoJo’s Emporium are sourced and manufactured by family run Fair Trade businesses sourced out of Ecuador and Mexico.
JoJo’s Emporium also specializes in Canadian artisans who make handcrafted jewellery, bags and hats.We love supporting Canadian artisans to help provide a decent living wage. JoJo’s Emporium also supports a unique line of imported indigenous handcrafted Fair Trade artisan clothing, jewellery and accessories.
JoAnn travels to Nepal, India, Thailand, Bali, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador, Columbia and Peru where she sources handmade silk, cotton, rayon, cashmere, Sheeps wool and Alpaca wool. Traditional Indian Bagru print cotton, handmade Rajasthan tribal materials. Traditional vintage silk saris re-worked into dresses, skirts and tops. Hand loomed Cashmere and Sheeps wool from Nepal and Ecuador. Natural dyed Hemp products handcrafted in Nepal. Batik cloth from Thailand and Bali. Straw, cotton and leather from Mexico, Ecuador and Columbia.
JoAnn designs and recycles her own line of clothing, dresses, skirts, tops, pants, coats, bags, Panama and Wool hats called the JoJo’s Emporium Collection made from all the ethically sourced traditional Indigenous materials. We are proud to introduce our Handcrafted Wool Hats from Ecuador exclusively made for JoJo’s Emporium.
Many of these goods are tailored by family-run cottage industries situated in India, Nepal, Thailand, Bali, Mexico, Peru and Ecuador. The family-run businesses not only help develop new product lines but with profits purchase new equipment and employ many village men and women. Every year we see the direct positive impact that our business plays in their lives. JoJo’s Emporium has built a strong relationship with these families and continues working with them year after year.
