I am drawn to working with clay for it’s invitation to discover the path of a tactile imagination. The organic forms birthed through me typically have uniquely textured surfaces and raw edges. My research develops through investigations and embodiments of place ~ feeling, sensing and thinking through the body. I am drawn to atmospheric firing (wood, salt and pit fired) for its typically unconventional, unsophisticated, rustic and wild aesthetic.
