We make Canada’s first authentically brewed Shoyu style soy sauce

Back in 2012 we had a family member undergoing chemotherapy. Sadly one of the common side effects of chemo treatments is the loss of taste. Our patient also had this loss of taste, with one exception. Soy sauce. We went looking for a better quality more natural soy sauce. Knowing that Canada grows ALOT of soybeans, we found that nobody in Canada makes an authentically brewed soy sauce. We are relegated to an industrial version of shoyu here in North America made in days and not the months and years like in Japan. In Japan you can get real shoyu made by over 1500 small shoyu producers. Ironically, most of the shoyu producers in Japan use Canadian ingredients… and nobody in this country makes soy sauce… . With 8 years as a hobby making delicious shoyu making multiple educational trips to Japan. In 2019 we took the leap to turn our day dream into a reality starting Canadas first shoyu brewery. Countdown to a year later. The shoyu is ready and now available. How you ever had real soy sauce? The odds are in our favour that you have not. Well now you can. Real shoyu style soy sauce made with Canadian ingredients all barrel fermented in Okanagan red wine barrels for one year. This will be the best soy sauce you have ever tasted! Lighter, sweeter and more complimentary to the darker soy sauces we have locally. Try it out an you won’t regret it!
