Supporting individuals, parents, and educators to grow in self-awareness, compassion, and non-violence, and to cultivate wholeheartedness and joy in their lives.
Hello! My name is Camille Long. My husband and I reside in the beautiful city of Abbotsford, BC, where we are raising our two bright and beautiful differently-wired kids.
It brings me great joy to support people in cultivating collaborative, compassionate, nonviolent, and healthy relationships. I support individuals seeking greater balance, wholeness, and joy in their lives through self-reflection, enhanced self-awareness, empowerment, growth, self-care, and spirituality.
I also advocate for the recognition and celebration of human diversity, and embrace the mutual process of learning that is inherent in the parent-child relationship. I support parents and educators of young children to:
– Develop compassionate, and evidence-based parenting and care-giving skills
– Understand and work with differently-wired kids (i.e., Asperger’s Syndrome – AS, Autism Spectrum Disorder – ASD, Pathological Demand Avoidance – PDA, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder – ADHD, Giftedness, Oppositional Defiance Disorder – ODD, anxiety, sensory processing differences, etc.)
– Understand and accommodate sensory differences, and
– Understand the impacts of the home (and other) environments on child development and engagement.
I am a Parent Consultant and Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a BA in Sociology and Criminal Justice (2009) and an Honours Bachelor of Social Work (2018). I am currently working towards a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) degree, and am committed to ongoing professional development. I am currently completing the final part of the MACP program as a Clinical Counselling Intern, which is set to end in April 2021.
Thank you for considering me to join you on your journey, and I look forward to meeting you!
